we appreciate you taking an interest in our feeders.
Our feeders were originally designed for use on our ranches. Like everyone else that has ever used a hay ring or similar type of feeding device there was much room for improvement. Couple that with the ever increasing hay prices it became tough to watch the amount of hay that was being wasted by our livestock. Not to discount the lifespan of the average hay ring and a look across our pastures and inventorying the rusted out remnants of past hay rings and other make shift feeders.
We breed cattle and horses so we set out to build a feeder that was suitable to both and as it turned out years later we had built a feeder that was not just efficient but suitable for any number of species, to include, but not limited to horned and polled cattle, horses, llamas, and a number of other species.
Along the way we built feeders for neighbors and friends and by request for others. Once we were confident of the feeders capabilities based on our own observations and feedback from early customers we tweaked a few things and begin producing the feeders in limited quantities. The business grew and since then have built and sold units to ranchers, veterinarians, bull breeders, and a score of other businesses and ranches.
Some of our early customers dubbed it the
" rib cage feeder" so we went with it and now just simply refer to it as the "Rib Cage" feeder. Should you decide you need one or a dozen feel free to give it your own name because it will still be around long after the kids are gone from the house.
